Metadata is the technical information required for integration between members of the federation. Members upload their server or client metadata to the federation, the federation aggregates all member metadata into the federation metadata. The federation metadata is then signed and published to guarantee the integrity and availability of the metadata.

Members can upload and manage their metadata in Federationsadmin.
